Broken
I broke my leg!… Sill me, my own fault. I was playing outside and we are near a wood. I like trees, they make me feel at home. Is that weird? Who cares, anyway I went and climbed a tree. Took me a while to find one that I could actually get up. The trunks are so wide here, they must be really old trees. I finally got up one and was crawling along a branch. I was so comfy, I could have fallen asleep! Then I fell…
It was that sister’s fault. She yelled at me to come down. It startled me and I lost my grip and fell. My leg is all swollen and cut. I’ve been to the matron and she said it was broken and I’d have to go to hospital! The head wasn’t happy about that. She doesn’t like anyone leaving this place… well not unless a family takes us, but that doesn’t happen often.
I don’t remember much of the hospital, but it was odd. I felt like I’ve been there before. The nurse said that she had my file, why did I have a file unless I HAVE been here before?! It’s confusing. I had to wait in a room on my own, they even locked the door. Sometime it really does feel like I’m in prison. It was boring, nothing to do until the doctor came. I could hear them talking outside my room when they did come. They talked for a long time and kept looking in at me through the window, I don’t know this place is very odd, I don’t like it.
Then there was an operation… something about resetting my leg. I had to sleep through it. I wanted to watch though! When I woke up after the doctor and the sister were talking about me. I pretended to be asleep so I could listen, I know it’s naughty, but I don’t know anything about myself! They could have said something I didn’t know! They were talking about “does she remember?” and “any more incidents?”. Then they shut up. I’m not good at pretending to sleep apparently…
Well, now I’m back and confined inside for a while :(
